dig的过去式

假定你是李华，你于3月7日参加了学校学生会组织的植树活动。请你就此事写一篇英文日记。内容包括：
1. 活动组织（参加人员、时间、地点）；
2. 植树过程；
3. 个人感受。
注意：
1. 写作词数应为80左右；

2021年3月潍坊一模的应用文写作和2020年山东新高考的“报道5公里越野赛”非常相似，都是活动类。只不过“报道”是让更多的人知道，而“日记”是写给自己看而已。再加上一模遇到3月12日植树节，所以这篇日记也算很应景了。
对于这种活动类作文，学生已经不陌生了，通常还是三段式：
第一段：简要介绍活动（时间、地点、人物、事件）
第二段：活动的具体内容（过程）
第三段：活动的意义或个人感受。
存在的问题
1. 时态。报道类以及日记类活动作文，一定要使用一般过去时。有些同学使用了一般现在时。另外，dig的过去式是dug，好多同学写成了digged。
2. 词汇。在描述“挖坑”的时候，好多学生用的是dug the hole（挖洞），而不是pit（坑）。当然pit这个词好像在高一、高二的课本上均未出现过。如果像“树苗”（seedling）那样给出来，就更好了。
3. 汉式英语。“我被分到了第二组”——I was divided into group 2. 这里的divide是“分割”的意思，比如一个蛋糕被分成4份，可以用divide。在这里“被分到第2组”应该是“分配到”，用arrange比较合适。

Today I took part in a Tree Planting activity organized by the Student Union of our
Early in the morning, we gathered at the school gate and then headed for a hill nearby on foot with tools and seedling. On our arrival, we got down to working together as planned. Some dug the pits and put seedlings in, some filled the pits with earth, and others watered them. With our joint efforts, the hillside was lined with rows of seedlings, bathed in the sunshine.
Exhausted as we were, we tasted the joy of labor.
